The Tame Trilogy

"They said I was made to be tame. Soft voice, pretty smile, no waves, no flame.
Fold your edges, smooth your rage. Write your hurt on a hidden page."

Domesticated. Gentle. Subdued. Dull.

I tried. For a long time, I actually tried. I believed them. I taught myself to disappear.

The Tame Trilogy is three songs about that — the attempt, the breaking point, and what happens after you stop trying to shrink yourself into something manageable.

We Were Never Meant to Be Tame is where it starts — before the breaking point, before the fight. It's the song about realizing the cage was never yours to begin with. That the wildness they tried to train out of you was never a flaw. It was the whole point.

When I Tried to Be Tame is the honest one. The one that cost the most to write. It's not about fighting back — it's about what it actually looked like to try. The shrinking. The silence. The way you can lose yourself so slowly, you don't notice until you're already gone.

I Won't Be Tame Again is not a victory lap. It's a promise. Quiet and absolute. The woman who made it through the flame doesn't howl to prove anything. She howls because she's still here.

Three songs. One arc. The attempt, the reckoning, the vow.

In that order. On purpose.
